ResQ Launch New Centre in Seaham, County Durham

13/06/2016

After months of preparation and planning, we are very excited and proud to announce the opening of our second site, ResQ Seaham. 2016 has been an incredibly positive year for ResQ, including celebrating our 10th birthday, expanding our Hull site into neighbouring building, George House, and acquiring new clients. The launch of our new site in Seaham, County Durham has been in preparation for a long time and we are excited to finally open the doors and start work.

Our new premises are located on Spectrum Business Park in the seaside town of Seaham. The new branch will be run by Managing Director, Stuart Gray, and Client Relations Director, Lynne Gray who previously worked for 2Touch Acxiom at Doxford Park. Both have extensive experience in sales and contact centre management and are familiar with the Seaham area and its people talent. We’re pleased to welcome them on board.

Stuart said:

“The community here in Seaham is growing and the majority of people are from this locality. We’re looking at 1,200 new jobs and not just jobs but careers. For every 15 sales advisors, we say there are three other different skills and people needed.”

So, why Seaham?

Nic Marshall said:

“Spectrum Business Park and County Durham as a whole offered us the quality of premises we needed for this key expansion of our business, with access to a high quality workforce which was critical in our decision-making process. Our growth is being driven by our customers who are growing with us and also the re-shoring of contracts which are currently being undertaken overseas with new customers in the digital, energy, retail and insurance sectors.

”Stuart says the launch of ResQ Seaham will provide a growing and sustainable workforce and ResQ will likely be the largest employer which will benefit the local people.”

Kai Storey, who has previously worked for Parsq, the parent company of 2Touch, is now a ResQ agent at ResQ Seaham. She said:

“I came here because it offers more of an opportunity for me to be able to develop my career.”

The launch has gained a lot of positive press including ITV news, BBC Look North (North East and Cumbria, Sunderland Echo and many more.

We’d like to thank everyone involved with the expansion and move, especially Business Durham, Durham City Council and Spectrum Business Park. We’re very excited for what the future holds for ResQ and we can’t wait to see the progression in our new home.
