ResQ Hull Dishes up Sunday Lunch for Local Pensioners

by | Dec 2, 2018 | News

On Sunday 2 December, volunteers from ResQ Hull cooked, served and entertained local pensioners from Age UK in the ResQ staff canteen.

The day was a roaring success and saw the Macmillan Positive Note choir sing Carols to an amazing group of ladies and gentlemen, who would ordinarily be on their own.

We even managed to squeeze a few games of Bingo into the afternoon.

Of the day, Nic Marshall, CEO of ResQ said:

“I’ve been wanting to do this for some time, so yesterday was an absolute delight. And I’m so proud of all our staff who volunteered and made sure our guests were well looked after. We all met some wonderful people.

“This will definitely be a regular occurrence.”
