ResQ Big Breakfast: A Morning of Information and Celebration

At ResQ, we thrive on connection, collaboration, and celebrating our shared success. Our recent Big Breakfast event was a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone together, reflect on 2024, and set an exciting vision for 2025. Hosted by Gill Marchbank (CEO) and Matt Gray (COO), featuring guests from the senior leadership team (SLT). The event was packed with personal stories, impressive achievements, and ambitious goals.

Insights from Our Leaders

The heart of the Big Breakfast was hearing from our SLT, who shared their personal journeys and experiences that have shaped ResQ’s success:

John Nicholson (Director of Operations) shared how ResQ allows him to express his true personality. Unlike the corporate roles he held in the past, ResQ’s culture embraces individuality and authenticity.

Steve Thompson (Director of People) reflected on his proudest achievement: transforming ResQ’s culture from creating jobs to building lasting and meaningful careers.

Lee Candler (Director of Client Strategy) spoke passionately about his love for building. At ResQ, he channels this energy into crafting campaigns, developing innovative solutions, and delivering exceptional results.

Dan Wardill (Director of Operations) shared a surprising twist in his career journey. Once aspiring to be a teacher, Dan discovered an opportunity at ResQ that led him down a completely different path—a decision he’s glad he made.

John Cadden (Director of Business Governance), named on the show as a jack of all trades and Director of AOB, describes the most exciting part of his job: the variety of tasks, and the excitement of not knowing what’s around the corner.

Celebrating 2024: A Year of Growth

The numbers don’t lie—2024 was an extraordinary year for ResQ:

  • 7% year-on-year growth.
  • Launched four new campaigns.
  • Saw growth across five existing campaigns in the energy, retail, and telecom sectors.
  • Achieved a record-breaking low attrition rate of 5.5%.
  • Maintained an industry-leading complaint rate of just 0.006%.

Giving Back to Our Communities

Making a positive impact is at the core of ResQ’s mission. In 2024, we strengthened our charitable initiatives.

The Trussell Trust: We supplied 1,971 meals and made their second largest-ever donation.

In 2025, ResQ has committed to the continued support of the Trussel Trust with the aspiration to support people in our community. We will also extend the scope of our community work in 2025 with:

Investing in our people: Leadership development program (LDP)

ResQ’s commitment to professional growth was evident in our leadership development program:

“We have definitely seen an improvement in leadership capabilities, and I think you can feel that as well; it has had a big impact.” – Steve Thompson, Director of People.

2025 in numbers

As we gear up for 2025, ResQ is setting ambitious goals:

  • Achieve 23% year-on-year growth.
  • Create 600 new jobs.
  • Expand promotion opportunities across the company.

“If you want to develop your career, this is the year.”
