ResQ in the News… A Cause to Celebrate for ResQ Seaham

by | Nov 20, 2025 | News

New Client Wins, New Jobs, and Lots to be Proud of

There’s a real buzz around ResQ Seaham right now, the kind of energy you can feel when something good is happening. Over the past few weeks, we’ve secured a major contract win that will bring at least 50 new jobs to our Seaham site straight away, with plans to grow by up to 200 roles as we move through 2026.

It’s a huge achievement for the team and one that really reflects the passion, resilience and spirit of our people.

Why This Matters, For ResQ, and for the Northeast

It’s no secret that the Northeast has seen some tough news recently, with several big employers scaling back or leaving the area. That’s exactly why this announcement feels so meaningful.

Our growth is a vote of confidence in:

  • The strength of our teams at Seaham,
  • The incredible talent in the region, and
  • The work we’re doing every day to deliver great customer experiences for our clients.

As Gill Marchbank, CEO, put it:

“Seaham has been an important part of our business for almost a decade, and we’re proud to be growing here again. There’s so much customer service talent right on our doorstep, and we’re proud to be helping generate jobs and keep skills in the area.”

For anyone joining us now (or thinking about it) there’s real opportunity here. Many of our managers and leaders in Seaham started out on the phones. When we say there’s room to grow, we genuinely mean it.

People First, with the Best Tools to Support Them

The new roles sit at the centre of our AI-led operations, but one thing hasn’t changed:
our people are still at the heart of everything we do.

Gill summed it up perfectly:

“Our goal is to give our teams the tools and technology that help them excel, enhancing, not replacing, the human connection that defines great service.”

Technology gives us an edge, but it’s our people who make the difference.

What the Press Had to Say

The story has been picked up widely, this week which has been a great boost for the team. Here’s the coverage so far:

Local press

Both articles focused on the immediate job creation and what the win means for local people, especially welcome after a difficult year for the region.

Business and industry media

These pieces highlighted the bigger picture, what the win means for Seaham’s future, how it supports the region’s shift toward service-based employment, and the potential for another 150+ roles next year.

A Huge Thanks to the Team

This success didn’t happen by chance. It happened because of the people who show up every day with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to help customers. The Seaham team, advisors, support functions, team leaders, trainers, managers,  continues to show what ResQ is all about every day.

To everyone who has played a part in getting us here: thank you!

Looking Ahead

Recruitment is already underway, and the first new starters are in training this week. As client contracts grow, we’ll continue hiring into 2026, helping even more people in the Northeast build long-term careers with us.

The momentum is real and we are all excited to see what 2026 will bring!
